The kitchen for our 2525 house had recently been redone by a previous owner. So in all practicality that meant we had to keep much of it as it was.
Our goal was to update the space with a more industrial style. We did this by using exposed raw materials to give it a rugged trendy look. We updated the light fixtures with black forged iron that had clean silhouettes and well-worn details, the Edison bulbs completed this look. We updated the sink fixtures with a black farmhouse kitchen faucet. The trim was painted the fabulous Sherwin-Williams Tricorn Black SW #6258 and the walls were painted in Sherwin-Williams Agreeable Gray SW #7029 which married the oak with the gray tones.
One of the updates we did was adding custom industrial shelving to hang the microwave.
The materials we used can be found at any home improvement store.
