Our renovation home “3907” had a massive master bedroom that went from the front of the house to the back. This space deserved to have large closets. We left the closet on the east side of the room intact and decided to cut into the attic space on the west wall to create a deep wardrobe space. We decided to make the closet more accessible by creating as large of an opening as possible. We had two of the original doors from the house that became “left overs” when we were moving walls around downstairs. We decided to reuse them in the master bedroom as barn doors for the new closet opening.

In order to get the double barn door look we bought two barn door hardware kits and had them customized to accommodate both doors.

We love the way the natural wood work of the doors, although different in color, warmed up the room and the stainless steel hardware with aged patina added to the charm.
